Kern County fire officials said two people were taken to an area hospital after the driver of a vehicle jumped the median and slammed head-on with another car.
The crash happened at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Bakersfield police officials said a Black VW was traveling west on East California Avenue, when the driver crossed the center median and slammed into a silver Honda sedan head-on.
Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
