BAKERSFIELD - A small helicopter was fully engulfed in flames on Rosedale Highway and Fruitvale Avenue Sunday, but no injuries were reported.
The small helicopter, which is now charred, was engulfed in flames in the Transmission Doctor Plus parking lot off Fruitvale Avenue near Mohawk Street.
Officials say they first received a report that the helicopter fell off a trailer, but they are now investigating if the helicopter was actually in the air.
The investigation has been handed over to the FAA and the NTSB.
