Highway 58 partially blocked after a car accident forces carrots to spill

KEENE, Calif. - Highway 58 was partially blocked on Monday night after thousands of carrots spilled in the roadway.
The California Highway Patrol said just after 6 p.m., a truck and trailer carrying the load of carrots spun out of control, hit another vehicle and ended up facing the wrong direction on the highway.
The overturned trailer spilled carrots into both the east and westbound lanes, which blocked traffic for a brief period of time.
There were no injuries to report.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
