BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
Kern County Animal Control will be a guest at the Fourth Annual Howl-O-Ween Festival on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 7401 White Lane.
Pet lovers looking to adopt a furry friend can have an opportunity to meet dogs in need of forever homes from several rescue agencies and shelters, including Kern County Animal Control.
Kern County Animal Control’s booth will also be accepting linens and bedding for their shelter animals for the upcoming winter months.
Attendees will enjoy a variety of fun, family friendly activities including a pumpkin carving contest, raffle and silent auction, BPD K-9 Demo, reptile show, pet food vendors, microchipping and of course pet adoptions. There will also be costume contests and prizes for best costume in several categories.
“We hold this event to have fun, educate and give back to the community,” said David Sidhu, Owner of Self Serve Pet Spa.
“Not everything should have to cost money and families should still be able to come out and have fun with their furry and non-furry kids. This is also a wonderful opportunity for the community to meet their new best friend from a rescue or shelter organization.”
