KEENE, Calif. -
Many interested in attending President Obama's announcement of the Cesar Chavez monument, who were originally invited to attend the event, will not be able to attend.
Spokesperson Marc Grossman for the United Farm Workers organization said that they were "overwhelmed" with the amount of people who registered shortly after registration was opened.
To solve matters he said they closed registration and asked people via e-mail to re-register.
With the same outcome, officials of UFW made a first come, first serve decision and sent e-mails over the weekend to a few thousand saying that they were at capacity and that they would not be on the registered list.
Officials have confirmed that the historical event will be available to watch live at whitehouse.gov or ufw.org.
