It's natural for us Californians to flock to the snow after years of drought, but this winter it has turned into a headache for our local mountain residents.

Neighbors in the communities of Tehachapi and Frazier Park have been concerned about "snow bunnies" coming to play in their snow, upset that strangers are trespassing on their property and sometimes leaving behind damage and litter.

So where are the best places to go and play in the snow?

The top spot of course - Alta Sierra! It's an entire resort dedicated to skiing, snowboarding, sledding and more. Each week they assess the weather and determine if they will be open for the upcoming weekend.

Second on the list - go ahead and drive up to Tehachapi! But you can only enjoy the snow in two designated places: Brite Lake and Mountain Park, where they encourage you to come play for the day, but "leave only footprints and take only memories".

Here's the website and map leading you to Brite Lake: http://www.tvrpd.org/parks-facilities/brite-lake.html
