Jailed actor, Joseph Son from Austin Powers, charged with killing cellmate at Wasco State Prison

Already serving life sentence for 1990 gang rape

WASCO, Calif. - A jailed actor best known for his role in a spy movie spoof has faced a Kern County judge for the first time.

Joseph Son played Dr. Evil's shoe-throwing henchman Random Task in the first "Austin Powers" movie.

He's now accused of killing his Wasco prison cell mate, Thomas Graham, two years ago.

Son arrived at Wasco in September 2011 to serve out a life sentence for a 1990 gang rape in Orange County.

A month after arriving, prison officials found his 50-year-old cell mate dead in their quarters.
