Job fair targets job seekers with disabilities

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Over a hundred job seekers with disabilities attended a job fair in Bakersfield, Thursday.
The fair, held by Helping Incorporate Reliable Employees, brings together job seekers with disabilities and employers.
From 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. job seekers attended workshops on interviewing, job applications and how to make a good first impression. Then they got the chance to meet with local employers about available job opportunities.
Mayor Harvey Hall was one of many speakers that addressed the eager employees at today's event.
The job fair was also a chance for seekers and employers to participate in National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
