LAMONT, Calif. - Lamont has one of the highest unemployment rates in the county.
County officials are trying to match people with jobs at a special "Jobfest."
The event is being held at the David Head Center on San Diego Street, starting at 9 a.m.
If you plan on attending, dress professionally and bring 20 copies of your resume.
The Jobfest is just one in a series of career fairs hosted by the County Department of Human Services.
It is designed to help reduce Kern County's 10.7 percent unemployment rate.
Lamont's unemployment rate is much higher at 19.5 percent.
The next Jobfest will be in Shafter on March 27.
