BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - One of the most well-known names in baseball is coming to Sam Lynn Ballpark.
Jose Canseco will host a home run derby challenge before the Bakersfield Blaze game versus the San Jose Giants on Tuesday, August 5, according to a statement sent to 23ABC.
A member of the original "Bash Brothers," Canseco is on a Home Run Derby Tour, according to the statement, and will be at Sam Lynn Ballpark to try and break the all-time record for home run distance.
The event will start at 6:30 p.m. and will go on until 8:30 p.m., when Caseco will be available to sign autographs for the public.
