BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The apparent drunk driver who hit and killed another driver was booked into jail Monday night facing charges of second-degree murder.

Bakersfield police say Martin Juarez was driving the wrong way on Coffee Road just before 4 a.m. Monday. He was traveling south in the northbound lanes when he collided with another car, killing Breana Webb, 18.

Four others in her vehicle were taken to the hospital.

Juarez is also facing charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, DUI causing bodily injury and driving the wrong way on a divided highway causing injury or death.

Juarez is due in court on Oct. 31.
