OILDALE, Calif. - Two subjects were arrested for burglary at Beardsley Junior High on Friday night.
The suspected juveniles were arrested for burglary, resisting arrest, and vandalism.
At approximately 9:10 p.m., the Kern County Sheriff's Office received an alarm activation at Beardsley's, in Oildale.
When deputies arrived, a Kern County Sheriff's K-9 handler located a subject attempting to pry a classroom door lock.
The subject ran when he heard the officers and after repeatedly telling the subject to stop, a K-9 was deployed to apprehend the subject. The canine bit the subject in the left arm and the juvenile was taken to Kern Medical Center for a routine medical clearance.
A second subject who also ran was located on campus and arrested; a third suspect is still outstanding.
A search of the school revealed numerous doors and walls were vandalized using a permanent marker. The damage is estimated at $1,000.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kern County Sheriff's Office at 661-861-3110.
