On Thursday at about 7 a.m., the Drug Enforcement Administration, along with assisting federal, state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies, served five federal search warrants and three federal arrest warrants in and around the municipal Bakersfield area.
The search warrants and arrest warrants were served as part of an ongoing, several month- long investigation into the distribution of drugs in Kern County. The search of properties identified in the search warrants will be continuing throughout the day.
At the conclusion of the operation, additional information will be released to the media.
