BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - We now know the name of the Kern County Sheriff's K-9 who was injured in a deadly Oildale shooting Wednesday night.
KCSO has confirmed that Luke is the dog that was injured, but would not confirm where he was shot.
According to the Blue Line Across America Facebook page , Luke was expected to have surgery today.
Luke the K-9 was shot and injured after a chase Wednesday night that ended with the suspect being shot and killed near the Beardsley Market in Oildale.
