BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Sheriff's detectives arrested a man as a result of an investigation regarding the theft of diesel fuel and appliances from houses under construction in the Rosedale area.
Detectives suspected William Stuart Crunk, 38, as the man responsible for the thefts, officials said.
Sheriff's detectives served a search warrant at 21447 Kratzmeyer Road. Detectives arrested Crunk at the residence, officials said.
During a search of the home, several firearms and rounds of ammunition were located. Crunk is a convicted felon and is prohibited from owning or having access to firearms or ammunition, officials said.
During a search of Crunk's vehicle, suspected methamphetamine and additional ammunition was located. Detectives also recovered stolen property, officials said.
During this investigation, Crunk was out on bail for a previous arrest. Crunk was arrested and transported to the Central Receiving Facility and booked on charges of possession of firearm by felon, possession of ammunition by felon, possession of stolen property, possession of suspected methamphetamine, and HS 11364 possession of drug paraphernalia.
Crunk's bail was set at $55,000.
