Kern County District Attorney decides to charge Bakersfield lawyer with first degree murder

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County District Attorney has decided to file first-degree murder charges against local attorney Mark Madrigali.
On July 11, his wife, 51-year-old Trivia Jean Madrigali died due to complications from a shotgun wound.
Trivia was allegedly shot by Mark in the chest on June 12, 2013.
A motion to amend the charges to first-degree murder and increase his bail to two million will be filed Monday, July 15, and will likely be granted Thursday, according to the district attorney's office.
