BAKERSFIELD - Kern County Fire Department Explorers have a new ride.
The crew-carrying vehicle will be used to bring young men and women interested in becoming firefighters to different training activities.
The vehicles come at no cost to taxpayers. The vehicles run at $170,000. The KCFD got it free through the federal excess property system.
