Kern County Fire Department sends resources to Carstens Fire burning near Yosemite

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County Fire Department has sent numerous resources to assist with the suppression of the Carstens Fire currently burning near Yosemite, Calif.
The following units were deployed on June 17:
Rio Bravo Hotshot Crew, Dozer 3, Dozer 5, Engine 326 (Lost Hills), Engine 35 (Woody), Engine 345 (Edison), Engine 363 (North Oildale), Engine 371 (Southlake), as well as 17 overhead positions.
UPDATE: Engine 25 (Buttonwillow), Engine 33 (McFarland), Engine 41 (East Bakersfield), Engine 61 (North Bakersfield), Engine 73 (Inyokern), and an OES Mobile Communications Unit, as well as 2 more overhead positions--bring that total to 19 overhead position.
The KCFD also said they sent Helicopter 408 to the Sierra Fire.
