Kern County Fire Dept. said Taft home went up in flames

TAFT, Calif. - A single-floor home in Taft went up in flames on Tuesday afternoon.

On Feb. 12, at about 11:30 a.m., officials with the Kern County Fire Department went to the Mount View and Wood area regarding a house on fire.

According to reports, flames were seen going through the roof of the home.

Officials with the KCFD said the fire might have spread to a field nearby.

At this time, no injuries or destruction value are known.
