Kern County law enforcement is on alert as the manhunt for suspected cop killer continues

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
Law enforcement all over the state are on high alert as the hunt for Christopher Dorner continues.
With the all out search for him going on just one county to our south, Kern County officers are being vigilant.
The CHP issued a blue alert for nine counties including Kern.
The alert lets all law enforcement know they may be in danger.
The sheriff's office says they are not doing any special operations along the L.A./Kern County line, but they are on the lookout.
We asked both Bakersfield police and the sheriff's office how much harder it is to look for a man who is a former officer and knows all their tactics.
Both agencies declined to answer.
