Kern County Public Health Services Department experiences telephone difficulties

Mariel Mehdipour with the Kern County Public Health Services Department said the department has been experiencing telephone difficulties throughout Thursday.
This has affected the Call Center (661-321-3000) servicing Animal Control, Emergency Medical Services, Environmental Health and Public Health.
The public will be able to reach the department via a temporary phone number which is (661) 862-8818.
Mehdipour said the department apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused to any member of the public.
