BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

Two suspects were arrested after officers found a stolen gun and drugs in their car during a traffic stop.

On Feb. 27, at about 11 p.m., deputies from the KCSO Gang Suppression Section contacted two in a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the roadway in the intersection of Allens Dr. and Lawson Rd.

Deputies said they then spoke with 32-year-old Ifrain Beltran and 49-year-old Rosa Arjona, of the vehicle, and then conducted a search of the two suspects and vehicle.

Deputies said they found a loaded 38 caliber handgun with several rounds of ammunition and suspected methamphetamine. 

According to officials, the firearm was reported stolen in the state of Alabama.

Beltran and Arjona were arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, prohibited person in possession of ammunition, possession of stolen property and additional narcotics violations.
