Kern County Sheriff's deputies looking for Lamont gang members wanted for attempt murder

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects who are wanted for an attempt murder in Lamont on December 21. 

According to deputies, at about 6:55 p.m. a male victim was walking near the intersection of Harold Street and Ralph Avenue in Lamont.

As the victim walked in the area he was approached by 5 to 7 Hispanic male suspects dressed in dark hooded sweatshirts and jeans.

Deputies said one of the suspects asked the victim where he was from and then the suspects began assaulting the victim with knives and metal pipes.

During the assault the victim was stabbed several times and sustained major life threatening injuries. He was treated at a local hospital and continued to be hospitalized due to his injuries, deputies said. 

During the investigation detectives determined the assault was possibly gang related and involved members of a Lamont street gang.

The Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved in the assault.
