Kern County Sheriff's deputies seize 100 marijuana plants, 2 arrested

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Kern County Sheriff deputies along with the Kern Narcotics Enforcement team seized 100 marijuana plants and arrested two people at a Tehachapi home, Tuesday.
Deputies were originally sent to the 18000 block of Alps Drive around noon to check on 4 children.
Once they arrived at the home, they found about 100 marijuana plants, an assault rifle and equipment to extract THC from cannabis.
According to KCSO reports, the four children who lived at the home were considered at risk and then taken into protective custody.
Police arrested Andy St. Claire, 29, and Savanah St. Claire, 31. Both face charges on child endangerment, while Andy faces 2 additional counts of possession of an assault weapon and manufacturing of a controlled substance by chemical extraction.
