Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies seize nearly $500,000 worth of Marijuana in Delano

One woman arrested, believed to be selling the pot

DELANO, Calif. - Deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office Major Violators Unit seized 105 pounds of processed marijuana and arrested a woman in Delano, Friday. 

Sheriff's deputies said they concluded their investigation around 2 p.m., after they received information that a women at a parking lot west of Highway 99 and Woollomes Avenue possessed a large amount of marijuana and might be looking to sell it. 

Deputies detained Angela Hernandez, 55, after they found nearly 105 individually sealed one pounds bags of pot in her car.

The street value of the seized marijuana was approximately $476,000.00 

 Hernandez was subsequently arrested and transported to the Kern County Jail where she could face charges for possession for sales of marijuana and other charges.
