Kern County Sheriff's Office: East High School lockdown lifted

Official: Bomb squad called to school

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - East High School in Bakersfield, was on lock-down briefly this morning, according to school officials.

Officials with the Kern County Sheriff's Office has told 23ABC that bomb squad was called to the campus, but at this time it is unclear whether anything has been found or if so, where.

In the picture sent in by 23ABC's photog, Geoff Burres, a total of eight Kern County Sheriff and Kern High School District patrol cars can be seen lined up along the campus.
