Man shot and killed in East Bakersfield identified

UPDATE (08/28): The coroner's office released the identity of a man that was shot and killed on August 19, 2018. 

Adan Ceniceros, 31, was shot and killed on the 5000 block of College Ave just after 3 a.m. on Saturday August 19th.

An autopsy was completed and it was determined Ceniceros cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death was homicide.

UPDATE (Aug. 19 8:59a): KCSO said on Saturday around 3:16a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of College Avenue near Oswell Street for a victim of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies located a Hispanic man suffering from several gunshot wounds.

Deputies initiated life saving measures, but were unsuccessful. The subject was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.

The investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information about this case they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide in east Bakersfield. 

Deputies are on scene near Oswell St. and College St. 

Roads are blocked in the area. 

It's unclear what exactly happened, but 23ABC is on scene trying to collect more information.
