Kern County Sheriff's Office person of interest wanted for robbery

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying a person wanted for questioning in a robbery investigation.

On July 10, at about 11:10 a.m., the Sheriff's Office said a suspect entered the Metro PCS Store at 2231 Niles Pt. in east Bakersfield. According to reports, the suspect brandished a handgun, demanded money from an employee and fled the store on foot.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 18-23 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10. 160 to 180 lbs., wearing a black hat, black sweatshirt, and blue jeans. The person photograph is a person of interest and detectives are attempting to identify him to question him.

The robbery is possibly related to additional robberies which have occurred recently in Bakersfield.
