BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A special project to help ensure the stories and experiences of Kern County's veterans are never forgotten kicked off Tuesday afternoon.
It's called Kern County Military Memoirs, and it's a series of workshops where veterans can get together and begin the writing process to preserve their stories for future generations to read.
The first in the series of workshops was held on Tuesday at the Beale Memorial Library.
Each workshop will focus on the personal journey of each man and woman and how it impacted their families.
If you are interested the next workshop is on April 23rd at 5:30 p.m and it is free.
