KHSD: Bakersfield student dared to bring gun to Mira Monte High School

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Mira Monte High School underclassman was arrested Thursday morning for bringing a gun to campus on a dare, according to officials.
On Feb. 7, officers with Kern High School District said several students reported that they heard of a student bringing a gun to school.
Officials said they detained the suspected student immediately. According to officials, the student was dared to bring the weapon to campus.
KHSD officers said they did arrest the student. Officials said in similar circumstances students have been expelled.
