Lamont community has mixed opinions on proposed Walmart
Some concerned it would hurt local businesses

Walmart is hoping to bring another store to Kern County but not everyone is on board.
More than 150 Lamont residents showed up for a question and answer session about the proposed 130,000 square foot store.
City leaders say the room was full of mixed opinions.
Some believe the Walmart will bring much needed jobs to the area, while other say it will hurt local business owners.
The Lamont Chamber of Commerce President says the store's application has been submitted but so far nothing has been decided.
The Walmart would be built on farmland at the southeast corner of Weepatch Highway and DiGiorgio Road if it's approved.
