BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Lane closures scheduled for Coffee Road, Brimhall Road, and Calloway Drive this week have been extended through Friday, according to the Thomas Roads Improvement Program.
On Coffee Road, some northbound and southbound lanes of Coffee Road, between Truxtun Avenue and Brimhall Road, will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to allow paving and concrete work. Two lanes in each direction will remain open while work is underway.
On Brimall Road, the outside westbound lane of Brimhall Road, just west of the Brimhall Road/Coffee Road intersection, and the outside left-turn lane on Coffee Road will also be closed between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The closure will allow the completion of work prior to the opening of the Westside Parkway. One lane will remain open while work is underway.
On Calloway Drive, some northbound and southbound lanes of Calloway Drive, between Marby Grange Way and Glen Eagles Drive, will also be closed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to allow paving and concrete work. Two lanes in each direction will remain open while work is underway.
Motorists are advised to stay alert and to watch for construction equipment and personnel near the roadways.
