Late night shooting in east Bakersfield
Suspect last seen heading north on Miller Street

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A local man is recovering this morning after being shot in east Bakersfield.
It happened at about 11:30 Tuesday night near Lake and Miller Streets.
According to Bakersfield police, a man in his 40's was shot in the leg by a black male in his late 20's to early 30's.
The gunman is believed to be about 5 foot 11 inches tall and weigh about 190 pounds.
Police say the suspect used a silver handgun and was last seen driving north on Miller Street in a white sedan.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and says he didn't know the shooter prior to the attack.
