LAKE ISABELLA, Calif. - The community of Lake Isabella took to the dirt road this morning to prepare for one of its most interest races yet at McNally Ranch.
The McNally Ranch non-profit started hosting Lawn Mower Races earlier in the month, with the hope of adding more entertainment into the Kern River Valley to boost tourism in the area.
The non-profit plans to build a stage area and rodeo in the next year where they'll be hosting events for the entire public.
The Lawn Mower Races began at 10:00 a.m. and will go until 2:00 p.m. The McNally Ranch is located right behind the TrueValue and West America Bank in Lake Isabella. Admission is $1.
Volunteers will also be collecting money on Saturday to help build for future projects.
