BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - New details have been released regarding the local DUI attorney, Mark Madrigali, accused of trying to kill his wife.
According to court documents obtained by 23ABC, Madrigali told police 'it was an accident,' but offered no other information.
It was just one week ago in the middle of the night that Madrigali called 911 saying his wife had been shot.
Once inside the home, officers found Trivia Madrigali in the living room with a shotgun wound to the chest.
Police said they eventually recovered a dozen firearms including six handguns, five shotguns, and an assault rifle.
His wife was rushed to KMC. The hospital is not releasing any information on her condition.
Madrigali was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
