BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Apostolic Assembly Church on Mount Vernon Avenue celebrated its 90th anniversary this weekend.
Celebrations began on Friday, Oct. 19 and ended with a Sunday program that also celebrated the 29th pastoral anniversary of present pastor Elias N. Duarte.
The Apostolic Assembly Church of Bakersfield was founded by Pastor Juan Rodriguez in 1922 upon his arrival from Mexico.
