BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A candlelight vigil will be held in memory of Sandy Hook Elementary victims Monday night in Bakersfield.
A community of educators, parents and faith leaders will come together Dec. 17, at 6:30 p.m., for a night of prayer, reflection, and love.
The candlelight vigil will also provide an opportunity for the community to write notes on a community poster board that will be sent to the Newtown community.
The vigil will be held on the steps of the Bakersfield City School District Board of Education Auditorium, located at 1300 Baker Street.
The Children First Campaign is encouraging everybody in the community to join in remembering the victims of Friday's fatal shooting in Connecticut.
