BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

Walmart stores in Bakersfield joined forces to host the Fill The Truck toy drive on Saturday, Dec. 8, to support The Salvation Army's Christmas assistance programs.  

This one-day drive was an attempt to fill as many Salvation Army trucks and collection bins as possible in an attempt to serve thousands of children across Bakersfield this holiday season.  

This is the first time Walmart and The Salvation Army have partnered across the nation on a one-day toy drive.
