BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - All Thursday long you can stop by Salty's BBQ at 9425 Rosedale highway to help donate to a cause that's combating childhood obesity.

The Jeremy Staat foundation is asking the community to come out and donate money for four cyclists to participate in the Race Across the West that will spread awareness on child obesity.

It's the second longest non-stop endurance race that goes more then 860 miles through 4 states.

According to the Center for Disease Control 43% of children in Kern County are considered obese.

Riders will be outside Salty's until 7 tonight collecting donations.
