The City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division would like to invite the community to a low cost rabies vaccination, licensing and microchip clinic for your pets.

On Saturday, March 9, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., the City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division will be offering rabies vaccinations and licensing, with the opportunity for your pet to receive a free microchip, once currently licensed. The clinic will be at Beale Park, located at 500 Oleander Avenue.

The free microchip program is an effort spearheaded by the city, which is focused on reducing the number of impounded animals entering the shelter system and is becoming the preferred way to reunite pets with their owners.

For more information, please contact the City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division at (661) 326-3436. Information can also be obtained by visiting the website at: http://www.bakersfieldcity.us/police/Operations/Animal_Control/index.html
