BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division is hosting a low cost rabies vaccination, licensing and microchip clinic for their pets.
On Saturday, May 11, animal control will offer low cost rabies vaccination and licensing for residents' pets. Residents will also have the chance to have their pet implanted with a free microchip, if their dog is currently licensed.
The microchip program is an effort focused on reducing the number of animals entering the shelter system. Typically, micro chipped pets are not taken to the shelter, but instead are returned home.
The even will be from 9 a.m. until noon at the Heritage Park located at 2320 Mount Vernon Avenue.
