BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The City of Bakersfield and Kern County Animal Control will host a low cost rabies vaccination and dog licensing clinic on Saturday.

Dog owners must have documentation of spay or neuter alteration to receive the reduced licensing fee.

Additionally, City staff is offering microchips at no charge for all current or newly licensed dogs at the clinic.

This includes the lifetime registration, at no cost.

The vaccinations clinic will be at Beale Park, 500 Oleander Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
