BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
Casa De Eva was dedicated at a special ceremony in East Bakersfield. The affordable housing facility will offer 49 seniors a luxurious inexpensive place to live.
Each unit has top of the line amenities and appliances. All residents will be able to enjoy a quiet library, lounge, game area and a community center to socialize.
The facility was names after Eva Camacho, a long time political activist with close ties to the Cesar Chavez foundation. Camacho died last year at the age of 43 after a long battle with cancer.
