The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying and locating a man and a vehicle suspected to be involved in a robbery.
At about 2:30 a.m. on May 22, police said a man described as black, late 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build began fueling his late-model silver Chevrolet pick-up at the fuel pumps of the Arco AM/PM station located at 2051 Taft Hwy.
Once the man began fueling, police said he damaged the pump in such a way that the pump continued to fuel without tracking the dollar amount.
The suspect fled with a large amount of premium grade fuel.
Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call Detective Rick Dossey at (661) 326-3504 or the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111.
