The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in locating a man accused of exposing himself inside Mercy Southwest Hospital.

Bakersfield Police officers said that on Dec. 17 at about 8 a.m., a man was seen leaving the men’s restroom inside Mercy Southwest Hospital, nude from the waist down and made an inappropriate comment to a hospital employee.

The investigation revealed the man then reentered the restroom, dressed himself and fled the hospital in a vehicle described as a 1990s model light blue or teal colored, Nissan pickup truck.

The man is described as a white man, in his thirties, 6 feet tall, with a medium build, wearing a green sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 661- 327-7111 or Detective Rex Davenport at 661-326-3559.
