Man accused of kidnapping woman, 3 kids arrested after pursuit

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man was arrested Sunday afternoon and accused of kidnapping his girlfriend, their three children and holding them against their will.

Deputies assigned to the Lamont Substation were sent to 7400 Sandrini Road to investigate suspicious circumstances at the home.

Deputies said Jesus Lopez Aguirre, 29, kidnapped his girlfriend and their three children and was holding them against their will.

Deputies said they found Aguirre and his family at a home in Bakersfield.

Deputies said they saw Aguirre and his girlfriend walking towards his vehicle, that was parked in the alley. Deputies confronted Aguirre, who fled back into the home.

Deputies safely secured the victim and her three children.

Deputies eventually found Aguirre hiding in a bedroom in the home .

Aguirre was arrested and booked on char ges of kidnapping and false imprisonment.
