BAKERSFIELD - A man accused of hitting and killing a pregnant woman in a drunken driving accident was arrested again Friday.
Joseph Haskell Maine was arrested on a charge of spousal abuse. He is in jail at $50,000 bail.
Maine was drunk behind the wheel when he slammed his truck in to a car, driven by Vanessa Carrillo, in January, police say.
Carrillo was seven months pregnant.
Maine is charged with half a dozen DUI related felonies, along with a misdemeanor count of vehicular manslaughter.
