On Monday the Bakersfield Police Department Communications Center received information from a caller leading to the identity of a man after his photograph was released to the public.

With the help of the community, follow-up investigation led to the arrest of 44-year-old Darin Galatas on seven counts of armed robbery.

The Bakersfield Police Department would like to commend the citizen who called and assisted with the investigation. The Department’s goal is to continue to partner with our citizens in working towards reducing and solving crime in our community.
