Man accused of selling spice at business

Deputies: Over 6 pounds of spice discovered

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The owner of "U Roll It" was arrested Tuesday after after authorities said he was selling spice to customers.

Officials with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team, Major Violators Unit, and the California Multi-Agency Methamphetamine Enforcement Team conducted an investigation at the business of “U Roll It” located at 1808 “A” North Chester Ave. in Bakersfield. 

The operation was the result of a month long investigation from citizen complaints. 

The complaints focused on activities that affect the quality of life for the area and consisted of narcotics activity including blatant use and sales of spice from the business. 

As deputies served a search warrant on the business, the owner, Billie Odell Edmondson, was observed selling spice to a customer, officials said. 

A search of the business resulted in approximately 3,169 grams of various spice products. 

Edmondson was cited and released on charges of violation of selling or dispensing synthetic cannabinoid.
