BUTTONWILLOW, Calif. - On July 29, Kern County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of hay theft in the south area of Buttonwillow.
The farmer reported the loss of 60 bales of hay worth approximately $1,000.
During the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest 49-year-old Roy Henning of Buttonwillow for the theft.
Henning was arrested and booked on August 29 for violation of grand theft. At the time of this arrest, deputies said Henning was in custody for an unrelated theft.
